The various fitness classes available at CAL Fitness & Performance are what set us apart from other gyms. We take pride in our social environment and how it provides our members with the encouragement to push themselves as well as gaining new friends every day! No longer do you need to feel awkwardly surrounded by strangers while struggling to attempt a new workout. The classes are the best place to start. Everyone is in it together, and they’re all having a good time!

Personal Training

For those in need of a more hands on session, we offer personal training courses. If you feel there’s a specific workout you want that just isn’t available in a class setting, we encourage you to request a personal session for that as well. If you like it, and we find that there’s a growing demand for it, we’re more than happy to make that a group exercise!

Group Fitness Classes

Bootcamp

Burn fat and tone your body with this blend of cardio and strength-training using a variety of equipment like free weights, steps, resistance bands, medicine balls, to get a strong, sleek body. We will motivate and push you to do that extra set!

Cardio Kickboxing

The Cardio Kickboxing program uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. These techniques are also supplemented by the use of weighted gloves, further toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health. Add to that some exhilarating dance moves and you have a muscle-toning workout that is guaranteed to leave you feeling physically and mentally empowered! Kicking and punching the 3 different kickboxing bags we offer. Tower bags, pro hanging bags, and the MMA Versys bags. High cardio class with some strength on and off the bags.

Circuit Training/Tabata

A mixture of exercises, 20 seconds of working reps with a 10 second rest or holding a isometric position for 10 seconds, totaling 4 minutes and then switching to a muscle group. This may be set up as a circuit training class

TRX Strength Training

Using the TRX suspension trainers for a full body workout. These trainers are unstable allowing more muscles engaged in one repetition. Any level client can be in these classes with plenty of modifications that can be made. You will receive both strength and cardio all in one. Great class for definition and toning.

Sunday FUNday

SUNDAY FUNDAY…. you will just have to come and find out what the FUNDAY is going to provide. Could be any instructor, any class, and sometimes the clients that come can vote themselves. Out of all of our fitness classes, this one is built the most around FUN!

Kickboxing Accelerated

A straight 40 minute acceleration of punches, kicks, and ab work. High cardio class burning calories while being motivated with determination.

Pure Strength

Strictly strength exercises concentrating on 2 to 3 muscle groups. You will be increasing weight in this class. A low repetition high weight class that will result in muscle confusion. A perfect balance to the clients coming on a regular basis or a client that is looking for no cardio movement exercises, but getting your cardio from strength training movements and increasing weight.

Kickboxing & Strength

Strength & Cardio

A mixture of weight training and cardio all in one. We use all pieces of equipment in the gym as much as possible during this class. A full body workout guaranteed

Dynamic Strength

Low weight high cardio class. We instruct a very similar class for 4 weeks in a row increases the exercises each week. You DO NOT have to be at the first class in order to attend. We will be using the step risers and bar with weights for every class. Both strength and cardio.

Board Class

3 to 5 options of classes to choose from written on dry erase boards. For all levels.

Core Strength & Stretch

This class specifically concentrates on core exercise and mobile stretching. We use multiple pieces of equipment assuring sore abs the following day. A great hump day morning class… A wake up and feel good class. Great way to start the day!

MMA Training

Ex MMA pro fighter will teach self defense moves in these fitness classes. How to kick and punch with power. Detailed skills and technique of overall kickboxing.

ZUMBA (Seasonal)

Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it. This class is taught mainly during the fall & winter months depending on the demand and interest.

YOGA (Seasonal)

A full body stretch using basic yoga positions. We also call these fitness classes “Sports Stretch” in which we teach our clients how to target muscles with the correct stretching techniques. This class is taught during fall & winter

Kids Training

We offer small group kids training. Strength & agility that will continue in their high school sports. Tony Callen is the Slinger High School Strength & Conditioning coach and is the kids’ trainer. This has been a huge success. Tony trains 7 days a week and runs the Slinger High School summer program during the months of June and July. Tony is also on the varsity coaching staff for the football team. Highly recommended and very affordable. Costs depend on amount of kids in group. Tony can train all age levels.
